Brandon Johnson Acting Bio


Brandon Johnson has been a working actor and televsion Host for over a decade. Currently he can be seen working on Disney’s new hit show, Shake It Up as the character Gary Wilde. Brandon has been lucky to work with some of the industries most talented actors. Highlights include: The Notorious Bettie Page (Gretchen Mol, Lili Taylor), the dark comedy Rick (Bill Pullman, Aaron Stanford); lead roles in horror films Malevolence (Best Picture L.I. Film Festival/NYC Horror Film Festival) and Little Erin Merryweather (Official selection of Cannes Film Festival); plus political drama’s, Invisible Evidence shot entirely on location in Guatemala and The Mondavi Gang (Best Short Film Nomination WIN Film Festival) directed by Steve Railsback. Brandon is no stranger in the Soap Opera world as he worked as two different recurring characters, “Dr. Michael McBain” and “Chuck Wilson III” for ABC’s One Life To Live. Later he went on to create the quirky, red carpet Host, “Brian Winters” on Hannah Montana. In between gigs he flew back in forth to Europe shooting the 20 Lives Campaign for Nokia where he created the character “ Phil Blitz.” This showcased his uncanny wit, charm and ability to inject enthusiasm in the lives of everyone he came across. The campaign aired in 29 countries in all native languages.

As if Brandon’s schedule wasn’t busy enough, between acting gigs he has also been very busy in TV Hosting. His latest endeavor is host of HGTV’s “My Yard Goes Disney” and the TNT reality show, “72 Hours” (for more about Brandon’s hosting career, click here). Brandon Johnson has truly proven his ability to adapt to most any genre in the world of entertainment.
